Our client who are market leaders within the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of flatglass rooflights.



Responsible for growing and developing business opportunities in the assigned region (London and the South East) by creating, nurturing and developing relationships with prospective and current clients in order to meet and exceed sales targets specified by the company.



Main Duties and Responsibilities:




    • Proactively develop new business opportunities in the assigned sales area

    • Improve awareness of the company throughout targeted areas, identifying short and long term potentials and avenues of growth

    • Devising annual business plans and goals with each account and maintaining relationships

    • Managing assigned accounts in own region as specified by the Head of Sales

    • Develop strong and professional customer relationships, providing technical customer support, as necessary

    • Meet and exceed targets and KPIs as set out by the Head of Sales and Company Directors

    • Monitor and report on activities, keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly activity reports, monthly and annual territory analyses, pipelines etc

    • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge for both the Company's products and competitor products

    • Develop and maintain knowledge of regulations and standards relevant for installing glass rooflights

    • Keeping up to date with market trends and competitor activity by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc

    • Collecting and communicating customer requirements to all necessary departments

    • Monitoring the effectiveness of any marketing campaigns

    • To ensure the Company's quality procedures are followed

    • Raise any significant supplier issues with the Head of Sales for awareness and advice on resolution

    • To understand and fulfil the responsibilities for secure management of personal data of both internal and external customers in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018



Requirements and Skills:




    • Experience and understanding of our industry (or similar industry) would be highly advantageous

    • Strong and proven track record of closing deals and meeting targets in a similar focused environment

    • Ability to evaluate strength of leads to maintain clear and realistic pipeline

    • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively

    • Ability to work remotely and manage own workload

    • Ability to work closely with others in the sales office as well as Head of Sales

    • Thorough understanding of margin criteria

    • Commercially savvy

    • Sophisticated, confident sales and presentation style

    • Excellent spoken English and flexible communication skills are required, as interfacing with suppliers and customers of various backgrounds

    • Excellent written and reporting skills

    • Strong IT skills, especially the Microsoft Office suite
