Meyer-Scott 10th Anniversary April 2007
Meyer-Scott Recruitment opened their doors for the first time on 14th April 1997.

When we started trading on that date our local MP John Major was about to be ousted out of power by the Labour party, there were about 10 agencies in Huntingdon and St Ives and now there are nearly 30, everybody had a basic understanding of Employment Legislation - now you need a PhD and reality TV wasn't the all consuming force it is today!

Gangmaster Licensing Authority March 2007
The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) was set up to protect workers from exploitation in the agriculture, horticulture, shellfish gathering and food processing and packaging sectors. The GLA operates a licensing scheme for persons acting as gangmasters working in these sectors.

Meyer-Scott were granted a Gangmaster Licence in March 2007 and are therefore authorised to act as a gangmaster as defined by section 4 of the Gangmaster (Licensing) Act 2004. Unique reference number (URN) MEYE0001.
